Bill Steele

At Mr. Bill’s, our dedication to quality poultry products is built on years of hands-on experience and a strong entrepreneurial foundation. Founder and owner Bill Steele began his career at an early age, working at the stand formerly known as “Dan’s Poultry,” where he developed a deep understanding of the industry and a commitment to quality.

After studying Mechanical Engineering at Penn State University, Bill chose to pursue his entrepreneurial vision and establish his own business. Today, Mr. Bill’s is recognized for offering premium chicken and a wide range of trusted chicken products. As one of the well-known chicken brands in the region, we remain focused on providing premium chicken that delivers consistent quality, freshness, and value for our customers.

FOOD SERVICE

Experience

During his more than 35 years in the food service business, Bill has owned and operated several businesses. This includes Mr. Bill’s Cheese Steaks, a full time food concession that he operated at fairs up and down the coast. He was also a partner in the S L Fingers Restaurant. In addition to the Farmers Market operation, he operated Mr. Bill’s concessions at Musikfest, Celtic Fest, and many other local public events featuring his specialty poultry products for fairgoers.

EVOLVING THE

BUSINESS

Since 1992, Mr. Bill has owned and operated Mr. Bill’s Poultry Market and Healthy Deli located at the Allentown Fairgrounds Farmers Market. When he first acquired the business, it was a simple farmers market poultry business. Bill soon took the opportunity to evolve their product line and grow the business. Mr. Bill’s Poultry Market specialty products include stuffed chicken breasts, chicken sausages, turkey sausages, and much more. His trademark is creativity, quality, convenience, and superior customer service and satisfaction.

Training

His business has grown from one stand to three stand. Additionally, it is perceived to be the anchor store in the Farmers Market, offering fresh, high quality poultry and healthy deli products. Many of his creative products are not available anywhere else in the Lehigh Valley. Over the years Bill has hired and trained many young people (100 or more). He gives them an opportunity to earn extra money. At the same time, he teaches them how to serve customers and enhance their own people skills.
